You can’t escape those brightly coloured, beautifully presented, cute little pouches from Ella’s Kitchen. Organic, healthy, portable…but expensive. With pouches ranging from 50p to £1, the additional cost of these little yummies can quickly add up.
This was the situation I found myself in. With Mat Pay running out it was time to tighten the purse strings so I started searching for a cheap alternative. That was when I discovered the Infantino Squeeze Station, hidden between various other similar alternative pouches and methods. I chose the Squeeze Station mainly because their pouches only have one opening, the screw top lid, which I’m hoping will reduce the chances of a ruined bag.
So, how does it work?
Step 1. Fill ‘syringe’ with purée.
Step Two. Attach pouch and ‘syringe’ to station. Press and squeeze into pouch. Watch not to fill too full (whoops!)
Step 3. Screw on lid and label. Ta-dah!!
Delighted. Looking forward to trying them out on the Wee One tomorrow.
The Squeeze Station cost me £20+PP on Amazon and came with 10 pouches. It also comes with 3 ‘syringes’ so 3 pouches can be created at the same time-although I’m not sure you’d need to do this unless you’re on a purée mission. A further 50 pouches can be purchased but I doubt I’ll need that many unless I start freezing them.
